Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Sheikh Mansour) is an Emirati politician, businessman and member of the Abu Dhabi royal family who has made considerable investments in Manchester, beginning with his purchase of Manchester City FC in 2008. In 2014, Sheikh Mansour's Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG) went into partnership with Manchester City Council to create Manchester Life, in which the council leases him publicly-owned land for development with capital provided by ADUG. Manchester Life has built 1,500 homes across seven new developments and two historic mill conversions in areas near Manchester City FC's Etihad Stadium. Sheikh Mansour, who is the brother of the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, currently serves as vice president and deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates.
