Humanitarian crisis deepens in Gaza amid Israeli attacks, blockade

GAZA, PALESTINE -JULY 6: The ongoing Israeli attacks and the blockade causing closed border crossings in the Gaza Strip continue to deepen the humanitarian crisis. The blockade has severely restricted food supplies, exacerbating the already dire conditions for residents. In the Nuseirat refugee camp, located in central Gaza, displaced Palestinians face critical shortages of basic necessities. A local charity has stepped in to provide relief by distributing hot meals to those forced to flee their homes. Aid workers warn that without reopening the crossings, food scarcity will worsen, putting vulnerable populations at heightened risk of hunger and malnutrition. Meanwhile, international calls for urgent humanitarian access continue. Despite international calls for a ceasefire, Israel has pursued a genocidal war on Gaza, killing more than 57,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, since October 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave. (Footage by Fadel A. A. Almaghari/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
