'Hold on Buddy': Koala Clings to Tree in Stormy Weather

A koala was seen clinging to a tree east of Melbourne as strong winds lashed the area during a https://x.com/BOM_au/status/1800367271472480427 severe weather alert on June 11. Warburton resident Jordan Schuringa posted video with the caption "Hold on buddy," as the marsupial could be seen hanging on despite the stormy weather raging. "I was actually just sitting inside on my couch and I'm lucky enough to be able to see some big gum trees just outside my living room window and noticed this guy out there sheltering from the storm," Schuringa told Storyful. "The storm here was pretty brutal. We live on a small mountain so the wind gusts here would have been 80+ km/h that day."
