This yearly temple celebration, held during the Malayalam month of Medam (April-May), is commonly considered as the "Mother of all Poorams." Thrissur Pooram, the idea of Shakthan Thampuran, the Maharaja of Kochi, combines 10 temples to create a stunning display that draws thousands of tourists each year.
