London bomb blasts: Edgware Road underground station re-opens
London bomb blasts: Edgware Road underground station re-opens; INT
Tim O'Toole (Managing Director, London Underground) interview SOT
- This is a great tragedy / We have to do everythign we can to reassure people that we are going to reduce risk as much as we can / You've seen the police presence and we'll keep that up and check with the other major metros of the world and adopt any practices that seem to make sense
- Fact of the matter is we are still in a situation with an underground which is very safe statistically / These incidents, it's more like being struck by lightning / It's still safer to be on the undergorund than drive your car on the M25
