Coronation of King Charles Earl Marshal statement; Part 3 of 4 ENGLAND: London: INT Edward, Duke of Norfolk (Earl Marshal) statement SOT - On Sunday May 7th, there will be The Big Lunch event when local communities right across Britain, can celebrate together, building neighbourhood friendships and support across all sectors of society / on Sunday evening, the BBC will put on The Coronation Concert at Windsor, on the East Lawn, with the Castle as its backdrop attended by Their Majesties, and other Members of the Royal Family / a diverse programme featuring music, dance and the spoken word will entertain an audience of twenty thousand people, including ten thousand winners of a public ballot / the concert will be shown live on BBC1 and broadcast around the world / we have a long tradition in this country, of excellence in choral music / and for the first time, three hundred amateur singers have been selected from regional choirs across Britain, to form The Coronation Choir who will perform in front of Their Majesties / they will be joined by a virtual choir drawn from the Commonwealth countries, supported by a seventy-piece orchestra and house band comprising the mass bands of the Household Division and the Countess of Wessex String Orchestra / as a highlight of this evening of entertainment, ten locations across Britain will be lit up with light displays, lasers and drones to unite the nation, joining the illuminated Castle that will form a spectacular backdrop for the Windsor concert - On Monday the weekend will be completed with The Big Help Out where people right across Britain will be invited to get involved in local community volunteering projects with over thirty thousand organisations taking part, ensuring a wonderful legacy from this glorious weekend of celebration.
