Glacial outburst flood from Myrdalsjokull, Iceland swept away a bridge over the Mulakvisi river. The glacial flood or burst is a mixture of water, tephra, rock and ice floes. Scientist are investigating if this was a volcanic eruption or hydrothermal water being released due to increased activity in hydro geothermal areas that are in the glacier.
