Unidentified members of the Player's Forsythe racing team console one another after a 31 October, 1999, racing crash which claimed the life of their team driver Greg Moore during the running of the Marlboro 500 in Fontana California. The race, the finale for the CART Season, was won by Adrian Fernandez (MEX), but the win was dramatically overshadowed by the death of Moore and all pit celebrations were cancelled out of respect for Moore's family and crews.
