Mismatched Shoes
(Original Caption) They're Matchless. New York: Mis-mates are the newest thing afoot for fall as Margaret Jerrold introduces a line of "matchless" shoes. Identical in styling and fabric, the mis-mates are done in contrasting colors-a different color for each foot. But just to show that the left foot knows what the right foot is doing, each shoe is lined to match the outside of its companion. From top to bottom: one silver pump, one gold, both on low stacked heels; bow-trimmed satin pumps, one yellow, one pink; gold-bound pumps in purple and orange; violet encircled pumps, one lavender, one white; and reversed pink and blue gingham checked pumps with bon-bon bows.
