Matt Damon, American actor and screenwriter, circa 2006. Damon is one of the highest-grossing movie stars of all time and in a movie career, so far, of just 30 years has garnered 94 major film award nominations and won 27. His Academy Award is for Best Screenplay with colleague Ben Affleck for "Good Will Hunting" and he is best known for his starring roles in "Saving Private Ryan", "The Martian", "The Talented Mr Ripley", "We Bought a Zoo", "Oceans' 11, 12 & 13" and the "Bourne" franchise series. Most recently he was quaratined in coronavirus lockdown in Dalkey near Dublin with his wife and children whilst filming "The Last Duel" and was greeted as a native and given the name Matt O'Damon.
