Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. At age 11, Malala began her campaign for the rights of girls to receive an education, blogging about life under the Taliban in Pakistan's Swat Valley. At 15 years she survived a gunshot to the head after the Taliban tried to silence her. After her recovery, Malala established a charity dedicated to giving every girl an opportunity to achieve a future she chooses.
