APPLE VALLEY, MN. - JANUARY 2021: Lia, a gray wolf in the exhibit pack at the Minnesota Zoo, wanders her snow filled enclosure Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 in Apple Valley, Minn. Lia and her four siblings were rescued as pups from a den in 2014 near the Funny River Fire in Alaska. The fire burned over 200,000 acres on the Kenai Peninsula and left the litter of then two-week-old wolf pups without a mother. Firefighters spotted the abandoned den, kept a close watch on the area in hopes the mother would return, and intervened after two days of not seeing a parent.
