100 Years Junkers F13
25 June 2019, Saxony-Anhalt, Dessau-Roßlau: The pilots Dieter Morszeck and Kurt Waldmeier steer the Junkers F 13 via Dessau. Exactly 100 years ago, an aircraft of this type took off for the first time in Dessau. The aircraft, designed by aircraft pioneer Hugo Junkers, was the world's first all-metal commercial aircraft and is regarded as a pioneer in civil aviation. Since 2016, the machine has again been manufactured in small series in Switzerland. The 100th anniversary of the first flight will be celebrated in Dessau with an airport festival, which will also include demonstration flights.
