In this photograph taken on June 2, 2018 Indian men wait for a dead body to finish being cremated at the Manikarnika Ghat in the old quarters of Varanasi. - The Doms are a small community of funeral custodians living by Varanasi's burning "ghats", where cremation fires burn day and night and the smell of the dead hangs heavy in the air. As the bodies wrapped in white shroud and marigold flowers are turned to ash, the remains are collected and sprinkled in the Ganges, and the Dom collect their dues.
