DERHALLI - LEHMAN BROS SACKING
High-flying City bond trader Kerim Derhalli told a court, that after rescuing American investment bank Lehman Brothers from the worst effects of the 1998 Russian financial crisis he was told by his bosses: Your job no longer exists. * In one of the biggest wrongful sacking claims in British legal history, Mr Derhalli is suing Lehman for at least 10 million for constructive dismissal and reneging on a deal to pay him bonuses for his vital work on maximising recovery of debts owed by Russia.
