BP Carson Refinery For Sale
A giant 630 acre oil refinery owned by BP located in Carson, CA is now up for sale along with a Texas refinery. Both properties are expected to bring BP $4.4 billion dollars. BP is attempting to divest $30 billion dollars to help pay for the gulf coast disaster. The Carson facility produces about 1/4 of Los Angeles' gasoline along with jet and petroleum coke, and has a workforce of 1200 with 500 contractors.
