Belgium - Crime - Inside Forest Prison
Forest prison in Brussels was built in 1900. There are sometimes three inmates in a two-people cell. In April 2006, a strike occured in the prison, and the GCPS (public services trade union) criticized prison overcrowding, poor conditions, buildings it considered breached health, hygiene and safety requirements, and the "wholly insufficient" six-week basic training for staff.
