Dwayne Dawkins, 20, from Milton Keynes, who was one of four people convicted at Luton Crown Court of the killing of Jonathan Coles, 18, who was beaten, robbed, kidnapped and left to drown in a river following a night club brawl. * The jury took 11-and-a-half hours of deliberations to convict Dawkins, Darren Matthews, 17, of Neath Hill, Milton Keynes, and 21-year-old Brian Alleyne, of North Seventh Street, Milton Keynes, of Jonathan s murder. Jason Canepe, 20, of Great Denton, Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, was cleared of murder by the jury, but had pleaded guilty during the trial to manslaughter. *24/03/2000 - Four men were sent to prison for killing of Jonathan Coles, who was left to drown in a river last June. Brian Alleyne, 21, and Dwayne Dorkins, 20, of North Seventh Street, Milton Keynes, were jailed for life at Luton Crown Court, Jason Cannepe, 21, who was convicted of manslaughter for his part in the killing, was sentenced to seven years in prison, while 17-year-old Darren Matthews, who was found guilty of murder, was ordered to be detained at Her Majesty s pleasure.
