A cliff diver waits to jump from 'La Que
A cliff diver waits to jump from 'La Quebrada' cliff in Acapulco, Mexico, on March 1, 2010. The tradition of 'La Quebrada' goes back to 1934, when two neighbors of Acapulco challenged themselves to show their courage and decided to measure their forces by throwing themselves into the sea from the top of a cliff. The rivalry between those two men ended first in a reckless spectacle, and later in a way of earning a living. The myth of 'La Quebrada' was born, and today it is almost a religion for its followers.
