(Original Caption) As New Middleweight King was Crowned. New York: Above are two highlights of the fight for the middleweight championship of the world between Randy Turpin of England and Bobo Olson of Hawaii at Madison Square Garden last night. At left: Referee Al Berl shepherds Olson to a neutral corner after he dropped Turpin for a count of nine in the tenth round. At right: Battered and bloody, but dead game, Turpin comes back strongly in the 15th and final round, throwing leather desperately in an attempt to salvage the fight. It was too late. Olson got the decision and the title.
