PURWAKARTA, WEST JAVA, INDONESIA-MAY 17 : Anami performs her daily chores at the home she shares with her family, on May 17, 2015 in Purwakarta, West Java, Indonesia. THE FAMILY of a woman in Indonesia are claiming she is 140 years old - which would make her the oldest person ever to have lived by almost two decades. Anami, from Purwakarta, West Java, is set to undergo a medical examination to verify whether or not the outlandish claims are true as part of the World's Oldest Woman contest in Russia. Anami, who has 12 children, 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, met with the District Head of Purwakarta to request his support to attend the competition, the winner of which will receive 13 billion Rp. The world's current oldest known living person is 115-year-old Jeralean Talley of the USA, while the oldest person ever to have lived was French woman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 aged 122 years and 164 days.
