India's cabinet has announced an INR 27 billion (600 million US Dollar) financial package for reconstruction of tsunami-battered southern mainland areas, a government spokesman said. India's countrywide death toll stands at 10,749 with 5,640 still missing from tsunamis, the home affairs ministry said.India's worst hit state on the mainland was Tamil Nadu which had a total of 7,983 dead.
