Harry Pierpont Detained by Police

Acting on the tip of a city fireman who had come across their pictures in a detective magazine, Tucson, Arizona, police rounded up John Dillinger and three other members of his band of Indiana Outlaws. Arrested with the men were four women, some claiming to be wives of the men. Those in custody were John Dillinger, Russell Clark, Charles Makley and Harry Pierpont (pictured) - four of the midwest's most desperate gangsters - and Mary Kinder, Opal Long, Ann Martin, and Madge Retzger.
