Iranian rocket strikes building in Israel’s Ramat Gan, causes heavy damage

RAMAT GAN-MARCH 3: A rocket fired by Iran struck a building in Ramat Gan, east of Tel Aviv, on Tuesday, causing heavy damage to the surrounding area as Tehran continued retaliatory strikes against Israel.The projectile directly hit a structure in Ramat Gan, scattering debris that fell onto vehicles on nearby roads, according to local reports.Following the attack, search and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. The strike came as part of Iran's ongoing retaliation for joint US-Israeli attacks on Iranian territory launched Saturday, which killed nearly 800 people including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.Israeli military sources estimated the missile carried a fragmentation warhead, causing debris to scatter across wide areas, Yedioth Ahronoth added.Rocket sirens were activated across central Israel before alerts extended to the Galilee and Haifa region in the north.Iran has responded to Saturday's attacks with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf states hosting US military assets.
