North Carolina Senator Richard Burr asks Labor Secretary nominee Marty Walsh at Senate HELP Committee nomination hearing about his priority is Boston Mayor to support free community college for graduates of the public school system there, asking what role community colleges played in the workforce system, while community colleges a very big role such as in Boston created off a very prosperous building boom in the city were additional revenue was put in to make sure young people in high schools had pathways the college and a career, those who could not get afford to get into a big school had a pathway, he feeling there was a real opportunity in the 21st century amid the coronavirus pandemic not to just have college credits but to create workforce opportunity training opportunities.
