Broadway and NYC Parks Announce Volunteer Opportunity

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – JUNE 15: (Part 4 of 5) Broadway’s "Wicked" cast member Emily Rogers – the current understudy for Elphaba – performs a rendition of “The Wizard and I” as campaign NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue announces a new volunteer event series where people can volunteer to clean up NYC parks alongside some of the cast of the Broadway musical "Wicked" and members of the Broadway Green Alliance on June 15, 2023 in New York City. The program announcement was made in at Duffy Square in Times Square and is in collaboration with NYC Parks and the "We Love NYC" tourism campaign. To program aims to support NYC Parks' "Let’s Green NYC!" campaign goal to reach a record number of volunteers. The "We Love NYC" campaign aims to promote the arts, culture, and entertainment business of the city by attracting pre-pandemic levels of tourism and other forms of income.
