SUDAN-CONFLICT

Sudanese volunteers collect donations at a makeshift emergency room they set-up in a school building in Omdurman, the capital's twin city, on May 27, 2023, amid ongoing fighting between the forces of two rival generals. Since April 15, Sudan's capital and other parts of the country have been gripped by brutal urban warfare between the regular army, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
