Elections for Indias Parliament kicked off today with about 900 million voters being eligible to vote. India uses electronic voting machines for its massive election exercise, over one million machines will be used. About 15 million first time voters will cast their vote, called Millennials these are young adults who have just turned 18 years of age. In India, indelible INDIA INK is smeared on the index finger to ensure a voter can cast the vote only once. The results will be declared on May 23, 2019.
