Washington: United Auto Workers President Walter Reuther, shown at a news conference here today, said that the American people would be given their best choice if New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller were to oppose President Johnson in the November election. Earlier, in a speech to the Southern Constitutional Convention of the AFL-CIO's Industrial Union Department, Reuther challenged the AFL-CIO leadership to start facing realities when dealing with the future of the American labor movement.
