Wally Campbell - NASCAR Driver
Unknown: Wally Campbell of Trenton, NJ, had a short racing career that lasted from 1947 through 1954, but his accomplishments were many. Campbell won the American Stock Car Racing Association championship in 1949 and 1950, then took home the NASCAR Modified title in 1951. Campbell competed in NASCAR’s Speedway Division in 1952, winning twice and finishing second in points to Buck Baker. He then was named Rookie of the Year for the AAA’s Eastern Sprint Car Division in 1953. Campbell also ran 11 NASCAR Cup races between 1949 and 1953.
