GERMANY-AUSTRIA-ART-EXHIBITION-HUNDERTWASSER
Students of the University of the Arts Bremen draw the "Linie des Lebens" (Line of Life) on October 18, 2012 at the Kunsthalle Bremen museum in Bremen, northern Germany. The 50 hours long action is a remake of "The Hamburg Line" performance that Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and other artists staged together with students in 1959, when they covered the walls of Hundertwasser's studio with an endless line. The legendary 1959 event is considered to be an hour of birth for European Performance Art and Happening and is re-staged now in connection with the show "Friedensreich Hundertwasser: Against the Grain. Works 1949-1970", that is running from October 20, 2012 to February 17, 2013 at the Kunsthalle Bremen museum.
