UNITED STATES - JUNE 25: Rescue workers go about the grim task of collecting bodies of casualties of the crash of an Eastern Airlines 727, flight 66 at Kennedy Airport. Plane went down in a thunderstorm, smashing across Rockaway Blvd., and leaving a trail of bodies in its wake. It was a few minutes after 4 in the afternoon, well before the section of Rockaway Blvd. which runs along the north boundry of Kennedy Airport would be clogged with rush-hour traffic. The 727 hit first group of towers then skipped over three more before hitting second group, slamming into marshy ground and breaking up. (Photo by Jim Hughes/NY Daily News Archive via Getty Images)
