Rocky Mountain News Shuts Its Doors After 150 Years
DENVER - FEBRUARY 26: Pressmen check the final editions of the Rocky Mountain News starting to roll off the presses at the E.W. Estlow printing facility February 26, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. Scripps executives announced to employees that tomorrow's edition of the News would be its last after almost 150 years of publishing. The newspaper had been put up for sale by Scripps, but the search for a buyer proved unsuccessful. The closure will cost 228 newsroom employees their jobs. (Photo by Marc Piscotty/Getty Images)
