Erwin Schrodinger, Austrian physicist, 1933.
AUSTRIA - AUGUST 20: Erwin Schrodinger (1887-1961) founded wave mechanics, creating Schrodinger's equation. Louis-Victor Pierre-Raymond de Broglie had discovered the wave nature of particles when he realised that all particles have associated waves. The properties of the particle are the result of a combination of its particle-like and wave-like nature. Schrodinger shared the Nobel Prize for physics in 1933, with the British theoretical physicist Paul Dirac, for his wave equation. (Photo by SSPL/Getty Images)
