Reefs Of Tubbataha : Illustration
TUBBATAHA REEFS, PALAWAN, PHILIPPINES - APRIL 24: A huge barrel sponge (Xestospongia testudinaria) in the heart of Tubbataha reef, on April 24, 2018 in Tubbataha, Philippines. In the heart of the Sulu Sea, in the Philippines, the Tubbataha reefs were placed as marine reserves in 1988. In 1993, UNESCO made it one of its World Heritage sites. Tubbataha is one of the top diving spots in the Philippines and the world, although these reefs are only open to divers for a few months of the year in order to preserve them as much as possible. The state of coral reefs is at the heart of all attention and biologists regularly inspect them. (Photo by Alexis Rosenfeld/Getty Images)
