Ten Areas in England Earmarked To Become 'Healthy Towns'

VOICED: Ten areas in England have been named as the country's future "healthy towns". The communities will focus on well-being and will be used to test ideas for cutting obesity, boosting exercise and increasing green space. The areas include Eco-Bicester in Oxfordshire -- where six thousand carbon zero homes are planned. Whitehill and Bordon in Hampshire -- where there will be three thousand five hundred "care ready homes" for people with long term conditions. Cranbrook in Devon -- where eight thousand new homes will be built, concentrating on healthy lifestyles for children. And others including Darlington in Country Durham, Barking in East London, Halton Lea in Runcorn in Cheshire, Northstowe in Cambridgeshire, Ebbsfleet Garden City in Kent and Whyndyke Farm in Fylde in Lancashire.
