Special Forces Raid In Rio De Janeiro

LS, Special Operations force of the Rio de Janeiro Police, Brazil's equivalent of a SWAT Team searches the Complexo do Alemão Favela in Rio de Janeiro's North Zone for fugitive criminals. The area is awash with drug traffickers and the day before two police officers were shot there. The Special Operations force is the best-trained investigative police force in Rio and is being used frequently to prepare Rio de Janeiro for the World Cup by arresting the most wanted criminals. Eventually 4 suspects were arrested in a new favela that was built in a factory occupied by many homeless people and which serves as a refugee for criminals and drug traffickers who hide among the residents.(Footage by Joseph Carter)
