Senator McConnell label Supreme Court nominee Barrett opponents reflexive

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky says after meeting with Seventh Circuit Judge Amy Coney Barrett on her nomination to the Supreme Court that citizens have religious liberty in America, there was no religious test for public office, all had the right to seek protection of the courts when the free exercise of religion was threatened which was why judges like Barrett when needed to understood laws and the Constitution, and would uphold those freedoms accordingly, if reflexive opponents of her nomination wanted to argue otherwise they would only prove how much better she understood the Constitution than they did.
