Nancy Pelosi press statement on failing Republican agenda

Nancy House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California enters the House studio for a weekly press briefing with Mississippi Congressman Bennie Thompson, Pelosi saying the two are there to discuss voting rights on the occasion of Independence Day and what it means to be assaulted by a foreign power. Pelosi says first that after Senate Republicans postponed floor consideration of the Better Care Reconciliation Act, it is a setback for them, but not a victory for Democrats, calling the bill the biggest wealth transfer in the United States history from the poor and working to the wealthy and corporate America. Pelosi says that after six months in session and five months of President Donald Trump, there had been no jobs bill, infrastructure bill, no tax reform bill, no healthcare bill, no nothing except taking away protections for clean air and water for children, calling theirs a poor record, and one might ask why they cannot get something done.
