In Kenrokuen Garden in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture (Hokuriku Region), there are cherry trees that also bloom in winter. These are called Jugatsuzakura (Autumn Cherry, literally "October Cherry"). Jugatsuzakura trees bloom twice a year, in spring and autumn-winter. Their blossoms are characterized by white petals tinged with pale red.
