The Subway is an amazing slot canyon located in a remote area of Zion National Park. The Subway itself is only about 1/4 mile long, but it lies exactly in the middle of a 9-mile long canyon. It can be accessed from either end of the canyon, but it's 4-1/2 miles in and 4-1/2 miles out, regardless of which trailhead you start at. It is not an easy hike, but it is well worth the effort. I shot this particular image from within the Subway, looking out.
