Mirror Lake - stock photo
Mirror Lake, Mt. Hood National Forest, OR. There is an obvious reason why this lake is called Mirror Lake. We visited this lake over the Labor Day weekend. This is my second visit to this lake. This time it did not disappoint me. This lake is often photographed for its beautiful view of Mt. Hood. It is about 1.8 miles from the trailhead with about 700 ft elevation gain. The trail travels through a very dense forest and gets very dark. On our return hike after sunset, it was very dark and eerily quiet. This was shot about 45 minutes before sunset. The only disappointment was the lack of clouds in the sky. I will be posting a few more from this shoot. I wish you all a very nice weekend.
