New York, NY, USA - October 31, 2013: Two New Yorkers, one with a halloween mask, walk east past the Bowery Mural Wall at the intersection of Bowery and Houston streets on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The mural is a cooperative effort headed by the artist Swoon. Groundswell artists Yana Dimitrova, Angel Garcia, Jazmine Hayes, and Misha Tyutyunik also helped with the colorful creation which memorializes the ongoing healing and recovery efforts made in New York City communities among the neighborhoods affected by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The mural was completed on October 29, the first anniversary of Superstorm Sandy.
