Yazidi Community Awaits Liberation Of Mosul

In 2014 thousands of Yazidi fled to IDP camps after ISIS took control of Sinjar and other Yazidi populated towns. Many Yazidi resettled in Mosul and Bashiqah but were forced to flee again when ISIS took control of the cities.The liberation of Bashiqah five days ago by the Iraqi army and the continuing Mosul offensive has given many Yazidi hope they will soon see the release of friends and family still held by ISIL. According to a United Nations report ISIL still held 1,935 Yazidi women, as well as 1,864 Yazidi men and recent reports say at least 300 Yazidi women remain inside Mosul.
