Pilot Endrew Ellen of Jamaica, Queens, was taking tourists from West Virginia - William Block, his 18-year-old daughter, Danielle, and her friend, JoelBeth Gross, also 18 - on a sightseeing jaunt at about 1:30 p.m. when the white Cessna 172 lost power and slammed into the sand, burying its propeller and shattering into pieces, officials said.
