Health concerns in Yemen

SANAA, YEMEN - OCTOBER 07 : A woman holds a child at Sabeen hospital in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, on October 07, 2019. While more than 820 million people worldwide struggle with hunger, over 670 million adults and 120 million children aged 5 to 19 years have obesity. Food insecurity raises concerns about "acute hunger" caused by high levels of malnutrition and "unhealthy nutrition", which increases the risks of illness and death. According to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations; more than 820 million people, or one in 9, are struggling with hunger worldwide, with an increasing number of malnourished people. As thousands of people have lost their lives in the clashes that have been going on for 5 years in Yemen, the humanitarian crisis increases day by day. In Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, children suffering from malnutrition are being treated with limited facilities at Sabeen Hospital in the capital Sana'a.
