Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez waves

Chavez, a harsh critic of the United States, was sworn for a new six-year term, promising to implement "socialism Venezuelan-style." The President paraphrased Argentine-born Cuban revolutionary hero Ernesto Che Guevara, proclaiming "Fatherland, socialism or death!"
