The Big Draw 2004

A trio of workers at the Natural History Museum in central London, assemble the largest drawing in their archives, a giant sloth (Megatherium) by George Scharf (1788-1860). The giant drawing was brought out of storage to be put on public display, for the 'Big Draw 2004' a nationwide drawing event. The Megatherium was a huge sloth that lived in South America during the Pleistocene era. It's believed that the drawing, finished in 1842, is based on skeleton remains in the collection of the royal College of Surgeons, unfortunately these remains were lost during the second World War.
