This picture taken in Melbourne 04 July 2007 shows Australia's iconic Victoria Bitter beer which is about to become less boozey, after Foster's brewery announced the same day it will cut the drink's alcohol content to lower its tax bill. The reduction in alcohol content in Australia's most popular beer is expected to cut the amount of excise tax Foster's pays by as much as 10 million dollars (8.5 million USD) a year. Foster's said while the alcohol content was on the hop -- to be cut from 4.9 percent to 4.8 percent -- the taste would remain the same.
