Black Out In Cuba Effects Millions
HAVANA, CUBA - SEPTEMBER 9: The hotel Habana Libre (formerly Havana Hilton) is one of the few buildings powered by emergency plants as the entire city is experiencing its first total black out in well over a decade, on September 9, 2012 in Havana, Cuba. Shortly after 8pm the lights went out across Havana and, according to reports, in the entire five central and western provinces of Pinar del Rio, Havana, Matanzas, Sancti Spiritu and Ciego de Avila. Power outages have been frequent during the economic crisis in Cuba during the 90's, the so called special period (period especial). (Photo by Sven Creutzmann/Mambo photo/Getty Images)
